Chorale Rehearsals- It is important that the Chorale members attend these final rehearsals in the month before UIL Contest. Please arrange your schedules so that you can attend. This is for 4th period Chorale Members only.
Madrigals- The San Antonio Trip is coming up quickly. Please bring your $45 fee by
February 10. The Trip is March 6-8.
TTU Game- Madrigals will be singing the National Anthem at the Mens' TTU Basketball game on February 19. If you would like to sit with us for the game, please ask a director for the ticket website by February 7.
Spring Preview Concert will be Feb. 24 @ the Monterey Auditorium, 6:30pm. This concert is required attendance for ALL CHOIR MEMBERS. This concert is part of the 5th 6 weeks grades, and will count as 3 test grades. Please communicate with a director if you have concerns.
Colorado Trip Payment (4) will be due on February 25, $150.00
Welcome Back! We hope your Christmas break was restful as you spent time with family. A few things happening this month;
Chorale Rehearsals were given to Chorale members before the break. Some are scheduled this semester even if we don't have school that day. Please plan to be at all rehearsals, especially since we are working towards UIL contest this semester.
Area Auditions are In Midland this year, we will hand out more Info this week to our students competing. Please wish these students luck as they head to the final audition for the All State Choirs! Caleb Cartwright, Emma Cartwright, Kendraisia McDonald, Gilbert Herrera.
Colorado Trip Payment is due on January 21. Please bring cash, money order or check to a director.
Solo/Ensemble competition Is on February 1. The solos and ensembles will begin rehearsing this first week back, so please contact a director for after school rehearsal times.

Pop Show- May 14 @ MHS; Please be in the auditorium by 6:45pm. Choirs can sit wherever they want. If you are doing multiple acts, please be at the school by 6:15pm. The show will last about an hour and a half. Refer to your handout for costume requirements.
Choir Banquet will be held at the Social House. Tickets must have been purchased by May 8. Please arrive and check in between 6/6:30pm. The Dance will be over by 9:00pm, please arrange a ride by then if necessary.
Officer BBQ- May 18 at Mr. Algate's House. Please RSVP with a director. Officers and Madrigals only please.
CHICAGO TRIP- Trip information packets were handed out March 28. Please refer to a director for your copy, or follow the link on the REMIND text that was sent out. Forms are due back to a director by April 2, 2019.
POP SHOW SOLOS- If you are interested in auditioning for a Pop Show Solo as a transition, please prepare a song with a Karaoke track that you bring with you (can be on your phone). Auditions will be in class unless you are auditioning in a group that has multiple members from different choirs. We will hear those after school.
SPRING SING- April 30- Rehearsal in the morning until 11:30am at the Civic Center. You will need your formal Concert Attire for this event (this includes black shoes!). Call is at 6:15pm in your rehearsal room at the Civic Center. Performance begins at 7pm and usually doesn't last more than 1 hour. Attachment is below and includes ticket information. ticket is required for all audience members. Purchase from your choir director.

We have several upcoming things this month, as listed on the right side.
Chorale Rehearsals are Mandatory, as we are preparing for UIL contest this semester.
Chicago payments are expected to be paid on time, and they will be critical the next couple of months since we will be reserving flights soon. If you will have late payments please contact a director asap. If you need another copy of the trip contract, please ask for one and we will get it to you.
Great American Catalogue Fundraiser will be starting this week and due back Jan. 22. This is another opportunity for your student to earn some Chicago money. This money can go towards the 5th payment, due February 18.
Christmas Concert is December 17! See your handout for your class' specific instructions. Bus will leave MHS at 5:55pm, Call at the church is 6:15pm. Chorale and Madrigals need to be there at 5:30pm for an orchestra run through. Freshman Treble need to be there at 5:45pm. If you ride the bus, please make arrangements for a ride home, as there is no return bus. House opens at 6:30pm, Concert is at 7pm.
Trip Payment #3 is due on Tuesday, December 18. Please turn these in no later than wednesday so we can make a timely deposit.
